The trailer is short, but very effective. You get a sort of first-hand experience of how it would feel to have the world coming to an end all around you. Not a great deal is shown, but what you hear really does the harsh trick.
The actual plot for AFTERMATH reads like this: Society has collapsed in on itself as we follow five strangers trekking through the woods trying only to survive and escape the chaos of the city. But as tensions grow high, and blood starts to shed, they realize that there is truly no escaping the end.
Pretty uplifting stuff, huh? This cheerful scenario comes to us courtesy of Canadian director Laurent Piche with a script from Josh Hatfield. It stars Calum Worthy, Kwesi Ameyaw, Juan Riedinger, Sharon Canovas, and Irene Karas. Look for the world to end, at least in AFTERMATH, some time in 2009. Cheers!
