We may still have a couple of months before Ahsoka debuts on Disney+, but Rosario Dawson already has hopes for season 2 of the Star Wars series.

I’m absolutely putting it out into the universe,” Rosario Dawson told Empire. “We’re joking about it, but I’m manifesting it because I feel like I helped Dave [Filoni, Star Wars mastermind and Ahsoka Tano’s co-creator] manifest this role. So I’m ready. I’m excited. I’m willing. I got my ice-packs ready to go for Season 2 and beyond! I would not be mad at that.

Rosario Dawson first played Ahsoka Tano in the second season of The Mandalorian and reprised the role in an episode of The Book of Boba Fett, but the character first appeared in Star Wars: The Clone Wars fifteen years ago. I’ve always found the evolution of her character to be so fascinating, not just from a storytelling perspective, but also from the fan reaction. Ahsoka is one of the more beloved characters in the Star Wars franchise nowadays, but it’s easy to forget that many people straight-up loathed her in the beginning.

When asked why she loves the character of Ahsoka Tano, Rosario Dawson said, “I love how confident she is. She’s not fearless, but she never hesitates. She is so willing, but she does have worries, she does have stress and she’s gone through a lot of anxiety. She’s had some really tough crises and traumas in her life. I really dig how complex she is. Even her moments of just finding her way, and butting heads, and being stubborn, and being wrong; having to deal with the pain of what that is when soldiers are dying under her command.

In addition to Rosario Dawson, the Ahsoka series also features Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Eman Esfandi as Ezra Bridger, Diana Lee Inosanto as Morgan Elsbeth, Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll, Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati, and Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn. It’s also been said that Hayden Christensen would be returning as Anakin Skywalker. Ahsoka will premiere on Disney+ in August 2023.

I suppose we’ll have to wait and see how the first season shapes up, but would you like to see Ahsoka season 2?
