AITH Horror Videos of the Week: King, Twilight Zone, The Collector, and more

The time has come once again for us to gather another week's worth of additions to our JoBlo Horror YouTube channel (check it out and subscribe HERE) together in one place. It's the AITH HORROR VIDEOS OF THE WEEK!

The latest videos on the channel include the second episode of our paranormal reality show WE WANT TO BELIEVE, a new episode of THE KILL COUNTER that looks at the kills in THE COLLECTOR, a WTF HAPPENED TO THIS HORROR MOVIE? look back at TWILIGHT ZONE: THE MOVIE, and a HORROR HALL OF FAME where our inductee is Stephen King! WE WANT TO BELIEVE Ep2 – The Demon Jar Part 2

Episode 2: The Demon Jar Part Two: The investigation at the allegedly haunted hotel begins, as lead investigator Peter Renn splits the team up to best cover the most ground. We learn more about the hotel, its history, and how a paranormal investigation is conducted. Jason, Sarah and Marcus explore a couple of rooms, while Peter, Shawn and Brandon tackle a few others. Things slowly begin to happen, and build to a startling discovery.

Series Synopsis: We Want to Believe is a paranormal reality show that takes an un-Hollywood approach to the pseudo science of paranormal investigation. Episodes chronicle investigations by writer/director/investigator Jason Hewlett, paranormal investigator Peter Renn and their team as they tackle hauntings, spectral encounters, Bigfoot, UFO sightings, and other high strangeness, No false evidence, no camera tricks or special effects — this is the real deal; what you see is raw and intact.

Writer/director’s statement: As someone with a long-time interest in the paranormal, I was excited to partner with Peter Renn of Vancouver Paranormal Society to investigate this fascinating and under-studied topic. As a journalist and filmmaker, it seemed natural to document our adventures in as authentic a way possible, and allow the viewer to make up his or her own mind. We hope this series informs and entertains, while opening people to the possibility there’s more going on around us than we think.

THE COLLECTION – The Kill Counter

Ever wondered how many people lose their lives in any particular horror movie? Well, we've got you covered with THE KILL COUNTER, our hit new series takes out all of the guesswork and counts out each and every death on (and sometimes off) screen. Break out your calculator and try to keep up!

On this episode, we take on Marcus Dunstan & Patrick Melton's THE COLLECTION, which centers on a young woman named Elena (Emma Fitzpatrick) who sneaks out of her house one night to attend an exclusive party, unaware of the horror that awaits her. A sick criminal known as The Collector crashes the party in search of fresh victims. When Elena goes into hiding, she finds and frees Arkin (Josh Stewart), The Collector's captive. Arkin manages to escape, but Elena is taken prisoner. A mercenary friend of Elena's father then forces Arkin to come along on a mission to free the young woman.

TWILIGHT ZONE THE MOVIE – WTF Happened to this Horror Movie

Hollywood has had its fair share of historically troubled productions. Whether it was casting changes, actor deaths, fired directors, in-production rewrites, constant delays, budget cuts or studio edits, these films had every intention to be a blockbuster, but were beset with unforeseen disasters. Sometimes huge hits, sometimes box office bombs. Either way, we have to ask: WTF Happened To This Horror Movie?

In this episode we look at the troubled and deadly production of 1983's Twilight Zone: The Movie. Directed in four segments by John Landis, Steven Spielberg, Joe Dante and George Miller, the Landis-directed chapter ("Time Out") resulted in three deaths, including actor Vic Morrow, which would bring up criminal charges for Landis and sever his friendship with Spielberg forever. It's a frightening tale set amidst a frightening tale as we explore WTF Happened to Twilight Zone: The Movie!

Whether it be the Filmmakers orchestrating the frights, the Artists crafting the gore, or the Actors engineering the scares, this series takes an in-depth look at the men and women who paved the way for the way for an entire generation of horror fans, and made the genre what it is today.

EP 2 – STEPHEN KING: We tackle the career of an undisputed horror icon, from his early success as an author, to the countless film and television adaptations, and the personal battles that would funnel their way into his writing. Join us as we induct the undisputed King of the genre, into the Horror Hall of fame.
