It's another spooky Friday in October, and that means it's time to gather all of the latest additions to our JoBlo Horror YouTube channel (check it out and subscribe HERE) together in one place. It's the AITH HORROR VIDEOS OF THE WEEK!
This week we featured writer/director Kevin Cappiello's BLACK ORCHID CHALLENGE as part of our horror short film showcase, recommended Julien Seri's NIGHT FARE with an episode of BEST HORROR MOVIE YOU NEVER SAW, put together a 20 minute supercut of jump scares from films in the Conjuring Universe, and dug into stories about CHILD EATING for an episode of SCARY STUDIES. Starring Jonathan Howard, Jonathan Demurger, Fanny Valette, and Jess Liaudin, NIGHT FARE is about: "A night of reunion in Paris goes horribly wrong for two friends when they recklessly decide to mess with the wrong taxi driver, finding themselves on the wrong side of a punishing manhunt."
It's a simple set-up for a really cool movie with a killer last act that will grease you right or piss you off. We loved it!
THE CONJURING UNIVERSE – Jump Scares Super Cut
With Halloween around the corner we decided to take a look at jump scares from The Conjuring Universe franchise, which includes spooky JUMPS from The Conjuring, The Conjuring 2, Annabelle, Annabelle: Creation, The Nun and The Curse of La Llorona. If you just want to rip off the band aid and get the scary stuff out of the way, this is the perfect place to relive the moments that make you yell out loud, spill your drink, soil your pants and steal your sleep. DIG IN!

CHILD EATING – Scary Studies
Written and narrated by Cody Meirick, director of the documentary about Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, Scary Studies aims to delve into the stories, the films, and the meanings behind the scary stories we tell ourselves.
During the Halloween season we are used to images of children going to stranger's homes, begging for food and treats. A common twist to the story, one that makes it a cautionary tale, is that this stranger may just want to eat THEM. So many of the scary stories we tell involve cannibalism. And strangely, that often comes in the form of eating not just anyone, but innocent children.
In this episode of Scary Studies we examine tales that involve eating children, from Wes Craven's New Nightmare, to Guillermo Del Toro's Pan's Labyrinth, to traditional tales from the Grimm's Brothers such as Hansel and Gretel and Red Riding Hood.
