Spicy blond bombshell and current second Silk Specter Malin Akerman, along with Mary Steenburgen, Craig T. Nelson and Aasif Mandvi, have joined the cast of the upcoming Anne Fletcher directed and Peter Chiarelli scripted romantic comedy THE PROPOSAL. The film stars Sandra Bullock as a publishing executive who forces her assistant (Ryan Reynolds) to marry her to avoid deportation to Canada. Hijinks and romantic folly naturally ensue. Akerman was most recently being gorgeous in the Katherine Heigl (yes, she’s achieved the “name before the movie” status) romantic comedy 27 DRESSES and can next be seen in the aforementioned WATCHMEN.
