Alright, I was confused for a minute here. I remembered that Joss Whedon is (was) making a film called CABIN IN THE WOODS, a horror comedy that was recently shelved in the whole MGM debacle.
But then I saw this trailer for TUCKER AND DALE VS. EVIL, a horror comedy ALSO set in a cabin in the woods, and featuring Whedon favorite Alan Tudyk as the star no less.
The two are different projects however, and thankfully, we’ll at least get to see one of them for sure. TUCKER AND DALE follow the plight of two rednecks mistakenly accused of being serial killers by a group of college kids who have seen too many horror movies. They wage war on the duo, and end up often killing themselves in the process, making things look awfully suspicious for the two innocent good ‘ol boys.
I love Tudyk, and this concept and execution (no pun intended) looks absolutely hilarious. The film got rave reviews at Sundance and SXSW, and hopefully we can bring it to actual theaters some time soon. Check it out below:
