Production delays be damned, casting continues on the oft-stalled third MEN IN BLACK film!

Deadline posits that perky blonde cutie Alice Eve (pictured) has been added to the cast of MEN IN BLACK III. She’ll play the younger version of Emma Thompson’s character Olivia, just as Josh Brolin will do for Tommy Lee’s Agent K character during the 1969 time-travel portion of the film.

Eve, who you may recognize as the female lead in SHE’S OUT OF MY LEAGUE, actually has a few genre projects in the works. She just wrapped THE RAVEN, alongside John Cusack, has ATM in post. She’s also attached to star in Mark Pellington’s thriller DOLLY DIMPLE.

Word also seeped out that Sonnenfeld has already assembled the footage he shot for the first half of the film, and that MIB III is still on track for its targeted may 25th, 2012 release date.

Here’s the synopsis:

The plot for the new film, takes the franchise further into whimsical territory. In addition to Smith as Agent J, Tommy Lee Jones reprises his role as the wisecracking Agent K in the present (the part already shot). Josh Brolin, through a time-travel twist, plays a young Agent K from 1969 who encounters countercultural figures such as Andy Warhol and Yoko Ono.

MEN IN BLACK III beams in three-dimensionally on May 25th, 2012.
