Lara Croft sets out on her first expedition to finish her father's archaeological research and uncover ancient secrets in order to clear his disgraced name. As you can imagine, any and everything will go wrong and Lara will be up to her beautiful neck in danger. Production has already started on director Roar Uthaug's adaptation of the popular video game, and we now have the first set pictures that show us just how ridiculously perfect Alicia Vikander looks as the titular character!

For those of you unfamiliar with the game (you can check out a gameplay video below), you'd think that Vikander served as the original model! The woman has been making a hell of a name for herself in films like EX MACHINA, THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E. and THE DANISH GIRL, and I'm really looking forward to seeing her flex her action muscle. She certainly looks the part, so here's hoping director Uthaug can pull it off!
TOMB RAIDER is scheduled to open in theaters on March 16, 2018.
