Here we are on this extremely slow November morning and I’ve managed to dig up a little project with some potential to tell you all about. Alright… so maybe there’s not a whole lot of potential here but with the recent ‘alien invasion’ craze in our genre I figured I should pass this one along either way.
You see there’s a project coming out of Mexico called NOCHE SIN CIELO (NIGHT WITHOUT SKY). NIGHT WITHOUT SKY huh? Sounds kind of… strange. But hey, let’s not judge just yet! You want to know what this little diddy is about, right? Check it:
The scene shows an ordinary night on the Loop, the most important way in Mexico City traffic and life as usual, the camera lingers on a child, a group of friends that go to a party in order and the couple who are fighting within their own… Suddenly, the chaos begins: no noise, people running, scared faces, and then the camera takes a turn and take the second floor from the ring where something has hit it and generated a huge explosion and confusion.
Alright then. Sounds sort of like a simple flick that’ll follow a few different stories during the beginning of an alien invasion. Or not. To get a better idea of the Benjamin Williams directed film I’ve tossed up the trailer over in our videos section. No need to click all the way over there though, just scroll down below to check it out!
The film is apparently already in Mexican theaters with a US release date still unknown. NIGHT WITHOUT SKY stars Joaquín Cosio, Silverio Palacios, Mario Zaragoza, Armando Hernandez, Diana Bracho, Ana Brenda Contreras (below), Gustavo Sánchez Parra, Luis Gerardo Mendez and Jesus Ochoa. Hit us with your thoughts on NIGHT WITHOUT SKY below and keep it here for more on the project as we hear it.
