Now here’s a flick that’s really up my alley! I’m betting that you’ll be liking it too. Here we go: The name of the film is ALL ABOUT EVIL and it’s got one sweet horror/comedy vibe that plays specifically to genre fans. Take a gander at its plot and tell me if I’m nuts:
The story follows a mousy librarian, who has inherited her father’s beloved old movie house, discovers her inner serial killer — and a legion of rabid gore fans — when she starts turning out a series of grisly shorts. What her fans don’t realize yet is that the murders in the movies are all too real.
I think we’re in for a super fun time with this baby. In fact, you could say that I’m now all about ALL ABOUT EVIL. You may be the same after you see the nicely genre-centric cast: Thomas Dekker (FROM WITHIN, THE SARAH CONNER CHRONICLES, top right), Noah Segan (DEADGIRL, top left), Cassandra Peterson (Elvira), Mary Woronov (NIGHT OF THE COMET, CHOPPING MALL, HOUSE OF THE DEVIL), Patrick Bristow, Peaches Christ, and Mink Stole.
Quite an ecclectic group, huh? Production is set to begin next March in San Francisco for writer/director Joshua Grannell. I’ll keep my eyes out for more info as it arises.
