Amanda Seyfriend gets hot in the first look at Red Riding Hood

“Over the hill and through the woods to Grandmother’s house we go…”

Entertainment Weekly (via STYD) has a first look of Amanda Seyfried in RED RIDING HOOD and she looks good. There’s a guy there that she’s about to get hot and heavy with, her co-star Shiloh Fernandez. That’s not how I remember Little Red Riding Hood. I guess she’s all grown up now.

Catherine Hardwicke (TWILIGHT) is the helmer on this one. She says this about about the tone of the film, “There’s a strong whodunnit through the whole thing. So it’s got the weird, interesting parts of Grimm’s fairy tale, and then so much more.” David Johnson (ORPHAN) penned the screenplay. RED RIDING HOOD is due out March 11, 2011.

What’s the spin on this tale? “Set in a medieval village that is haunted by a werewolf, a young girl falls for an orphaned woodcutter, much to her family’s displeasure.”
