With the insane success of AMC’s “The Walking Dead” it should come as a surprise to noone that the network is planning on moving forward with another genre series. Unlike “The Walking Dead” though this new series will dabble more in the world of science-fiction rather than horror. But hey, that’s A-Ok in our book!

The project I’m getting at is a little something called “Thunderstruck” and is coming our way courtesy of former “Battlestar Galactica” executive producer David Eick and the writing/directing duo of Paul Boardman and Scott Derrickson. Boardman and Derrickson will executive produce with Eick and co-write the sci-fi drama. Derrickson has already been pegged to direct. Scope out the rundown:

A drama about powerful and enigmatic entities that begin appearing all over the world. After one shows up in the town of Great Falls, Montana, the local citizens must grapple with the dramatic effects and growing mystery of repeated visitations.

Not to shabby, eh? “Thunderstruck” definitely sounds like something I can get behind. What says you guys? “Thunderstruck” sounding like it has some potential? Spit some bullets below and let us know how you’re feeling about this one!

Now that’s about all we’ve got on “Thunderstruck” today but I’m sure more updates about this little diddy will come our way soon.
