February 24th marks the one year anniversary of the release of writer/director Jordan Peele's film GET OUT, a movie that was a box office hit (it made $255 million worldwide on a budget under $5 million) and was well received not only by critics and horror fans (our own Chris Bumbray gave it an 8/10 review), but also by members of the Academy. At next month's Oscars ceremony, GET OUT will be up for four awards – Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, and Best Actor (Daniel Kaluuya).
To celebrate the anniversary of the film, Jordan Peele and Universal Pictures are offering fans free tickets to special screenings at 55 AMC theatres around the United States.
These screenings are scheduled to be held at 7pm on February 19th, President's Day. Each guest (with a valid ID) who requests a ticket on the day of the screening will be given one free admission, up to theatre capacity. To find participating AMCs, check GetOutOneYearLater.com.

The filmmaker and studio are also celebrating the fact that GET OUT has inspired many artists to create their own interpretations of the ideas and imagery in the film.
