“American Horror Story” has pretty much been a freak show since day one, but in its fourth season, the freaks will be quite literal. Creator Ryan Murphy has just revealed via his Twitter account that the next season of the popular horror series will be called “Freak Show”!

We’ve known for a little while that the new season would have a carnival setting and take place in the 1950s, but that’s all we’ve known. And truth be told, we still have little to go on beyond that, but at least we have a subtitle to run with.

Jessica Lange has been confirmed to return to the world of “American Horror Story,” likely for the last time, while Kathy Bates and Angela Bassett are rumored to take part once again as well. “American Horror Story: Freak Show” will air in the fall (probably October) on FX.
