Who was found to fill the shoes of the heavily-rumored villain for Thor: The Dark World?

Christopher Eccleston is a name you may know from any number of places, be they 28 DAYS LATER, G.I. JOE: THE RISE OF COBRA, or “Dr. Who.” And if you do know the name Christopher Eccleston, then you’ll also know that 1) he’s an extremely talented and versatile performer and 2) that we’re very lucky indeed to have scored him to play the villain in THOR: THE DARK WORLD.

Eccleston will, as has been heavily rumored for some time, take on the role of “Malekith The Accursed… the ruler of the Dark Elves of Svartalfheim. In the Marvel Comics, he clashed mightily with Thor, and will go up against the hammer-wielding son of Odin” when THOR: THE DARK WORLD at last arrives on November 8th, 2013.
