Andrea Riseborough and Olga Kurylenko take the female leads in Joseph Kosinski’s Oblivion

JoBloJoBlo

While I was out, I did not get the news that Jessica Chastain had dropped out of Joseph Kosinski’s OBLIVION to take a role in Kathryn Bigelow’s next film.

There are two main female roles in OBLIVION, which still has Tom Cruise set to star. Several ladies have been up for these roles but no one was really set except for Chastain. Now it seems that the parts are now filled. Andrea Riseborough and Olga Kurylenko will star opposite Cruise, who plays the last man on an uninhabitable Earth, repairing robots that fight an insidious alien race.

Here are the details on those roles:

“Riseborough, who starred in the Madonna-directed W.E., plays a beautiful woman who crashes on the planet and goes on a journey with the guy, which makes him question his role on the planet. Kurylenko plays the woman who lives with Cruise’s character on the desolate planet.”

Two hot brunettes after Cruise? Nothing wrong with that. OBLIVION will start production in March and shoot after the actor is done with the adaptation of Lee Child’s ONE SHOT.
