Annabelle: Creation

Even though a large projected image at last July's San Diego Comic-Con told us that "Annabelle Comes Home Next Summer", it wasn't until just a couple weeks ago that it was officially confirmed that the third film in the ANNABELLE branch of the Conjuring Universe would be titled ANNABELLE COMES HOME. Now the release of the film is just three months away, so it's time to start seeing some promotional material.

James Wan took to his Instagram to share a promotional image featuring the possessed doll Annabelle, sitting in her new home: the artifacts room belonging to the husband and wife paranormal investigators at the center of THE CONJURING and THE CONJURING 2, Ed and Lorraine Warren.

Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga will be reprising the roles of Ed and Lorraine in ANNABELLE COMES HOME, but they're not the stars of the film. Instead the focus will be on Ed and Lorraine's young daughter and the teenage girls who babysit her one scary night.

Written and directed by Gary Dauberman, the film has the following synopsis:

Determined to keep Annabelle from wreaking more havoc, demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren bring the possessed doll to the locked artifacts room in their home, placing her “safely” behind sacred glass and enlisting a priest’s holy blessing. But an unholy night of horror awaits as Annabelle awakens the evil spirits in the room, who all set their sights on a new target — the Warrens’ ten-year-old daughter, Judy, and her friends.

McKenna Grace plays young Judy Warren, with Madison Iseman as her babysitter / cousin and Katie Sarife as the cousin's best friend.

ANNABELLE COMES HOME is coming to theatres on June 28th.
