You a Vampire Chronicles fan?
Well, it looks like the 11-volume series is headed to television. According to Variety, Anne Rice's The Vampire Chronicles has been optioned by Paramount TV and Anonymous Content, with Rice's son Christopher set to pen and exec-produce the series. The big-ticket project will be soon shopped around to various networks.
The deal comes on the heels of Rice regaining the rights to her own 11-book series back in November. Many attempts have been made to adapt the novels to the big and small screen over the years and decades, but it appears TV will be the best place for the material to flourish. Perhaps Netflix?

Lestat, immortalized on film by Tom Cruise in the 1994 film INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE, continues his world weary travels in the newest Rice volume, due this November, as he's set to suck blood in Atlantis. I'd rather suck IWTV costar Kirsten Dunst's blood instead!
