If you would have told me 6 months ago that one of the most star studded movies of 2008 was going to be Peter Jackson’s THE LOVELY BONES film adaptation (based on Alice Sebold’s novel), I would have told you to jump out a window- and into traffic. But slap my ass and call me Susan, it sure as shite is gearing to look that way!
Along with cast members already including Rachel Weisz, Ryan Gosling, Susan Sarandon, Stanley Tucci and newcomer Saoirse Ronan, BONES just scored yet another addition today: Michael Imperioli (of ‘The Sopranos’ fame). Awesome!
Imperioli will be playing the detective on the case of the murdered girl. I don’t know why, but this dude screams detective (that, or some dude in the mob)! Like, he was born to play a detective (or some dude in the mob) in everything he does. Type casting? You bet your ass I am!
Filming is set to begin in October, with locations in both Pennsylvania and New Zealand (which everybody knows, looks exactly alike). Stick around for even more casting news as we hear it!
