Another Summer Coming?

Ah Crap. A while back we got a little tid-bit from a reader saying that there was going to be another I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER movie, but had nothing to back it up. So we threw it out the window, and thought that’s where it’d stay…until now…

FilmJerk has learned that there is, in fact, an I’LL ALWAYS KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER in the works! Produced by Neal Moritz, this time around goes a little something like this:

Four teens from a small Colorado town will be victimized by a phantom menace one year after a July Fourth prank gone awry kills one of their buddies. Against the protestation of one of them, the group agree to keep this secret, only to find their friendships torn apart from the strain. The next Independence Day, just before the town’s annual carnival, the four receive intimidating communiqués indicating someone is aware of what happened before. The group suspect the cousin of the dead friend, only to discover they are very much on the wrong track. Can the friends survive and figure out the identity of their tormentor before they end up dead themselves?

Oh boy. Written by Michael Weiss, and directed by Damon Santostefano, SUMMER is set to begin filming at the end of the month. Or so this source says. I’m not saying that it’s completely b.s., but according to IMDB, this movie doesn’t exist. If it is true, no Freddie Prinze, or Jennifer Love Hewitt on screen bombarding us with their no-talent skills.

We’ll keep you posted on whether this movie truly is going down or not.
