Another Wrong Turn

Somehow this shouldn’t surprise me, and in a way I’ve been expecting it for years, but today it’s official. WRONG TURN 2 is making it’s way to the small screen.

A while back we heard whispering’s of a sequel to the 2003 shitfest that stared superhottie Eliza Dushku and a bunch of friends stumbling onto the inbreeding family from hell. Today, according to Video Business Online, 20th Century Fox is planning to release WT2 straight to DVD either later this year, or early 2007.

One has to wonder why, as it wasn’t a good movie, it didn’t make that much money, and it certainly wasn’t an original story- but in this modern age of horror being smokin’ red hot, and DVD sales/rentals doing better than some theatrical runs, I’d say it has to do mainly with the green. Ok, so that’s the case with most movies, but this one in particular. Too bad Fox isn’t standing by it enough to give it a theaterical run. Oh well.

Stick around as we’ll most likely be hearing more about WRONG TURN 2 very soon. And go ahead and click HERE to read up on more straight to video sequels you may have heard of. No word on whether Dushku will return for a second round. We can only hope…
