Anya Taylor-Joy confirmed to be playing Furiosa in Mad Max prequel!

So this is exciting! Deadline reports that director George Miller – the mastermind behind the action-packed, post-apocalyptic MAD MAX franchise – is going forward with his FURIOSA prequel film, and has cast none other than Anya Taylor-Joy (THE VVITCH) in the titular role! She will be playing a younger version of Furiosa – originally played by Charlize Theron in 2015's FURY ROAD – and will chronicle her journey before meeting up with Mad Max.

Taylor-Joy will also be joined by stars Chris Hemsworth (THOR: THE DARK WORLD) and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (AQUAMAN), though their specific roles are currently unknown at this time.

Meanwhile, no official start or release date as of yet, but we'll keep you posted!

So what do you guys think? Fans of FURY ROAD? If so, how do you feel about a prequel? Either way, sound off below!
