Apex Predator trailer: Bruce Willis is hunted by Neal McDonough

RLJE Films will be giving director Edward Drake’s futuristic action thriller Apex a theatrical, VOD, and Digital release in North America on November 12, 2021. That same day, Signature Entertainment will be giving the film a Digital release in the UK under the title Apex Predator, with a DVD to follow on November 15. Today we’ve gotten our hands on the UK trailer for Apex / Apex Predator, and you can check it out in the embed above.

The film stars Bruce Willis, who Drake previously directed in Cosmic Sin. Drake also wrote Cosmic Sin with Corey Large, and the duo previously wrote the Willis film Breach together. Drake and Large wrote Apex together as well, crafting the following story:

Serving a life sentence for a crime he didn’t commit, ex-cop James Malone (Willis) is offered a chance at freedom if he can survive a deadly game of Apex. Six hunters pay for the pleasure of hunting another human on a remote island, but once Malone arrives all hell breaks loose. Laying traps and playing mind games, Malone tries to turn the tables and fight for his life and his future.

Large produced the film with Sean Patrick O’Reilly.

Apex / Apex Predator looks like it could be an entertaining movie, as it promises to be action-packed and the trailer features some cheesy dialogue. Willis is probably sleepwalking through the whole thing, as he does these days, but it should help to have him speaking ridiculous lines while he collects his paycheck.

Willis is joined in the cast by Neal McDonough (Ravenous), Lochlyn Munro (Freddy vs. Jason), Megan Peta Hill (Open Water 3: Cage Dive), and Wayne Gretzky’s son Trevor Gretzky (Spiral: From the Book of Saw).
