AARRRRRGH, me maties! Who be in the mood for a horror tale from the sea about a blood-thirsty pirate! YAARRRRGH! Um, sorry about that. I think I got a little too carried away with setting up the mood for this piece. It seems we have ourselves a “slasher buccaneer” indie horror outing to set sail with called BLOOD ISLAND. We’ve got the very first trailer below for your viewing pleasure. Sure, it’s low-budget, but that can’t take anything away from the possible fun in store as well as some bikini-ed booty!
The plot plunders like this: A group of friends get whisked away to a remote paradise that’s beautiful, quiet and scenic. Scenic but there’s also a blood-thirsty pirate. And you could say he doesn’t like the group of friends who visit the island. You could also say he really doesn’t like the friends stumbling upon his treasure, awakening a curse that shouldn’t be awakened.
Sounds like a B-level PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN. Now, I promised myself I wasn’t gonna do this, but here’s the working tagline: 3 guys + 2 girls + 1 pirate = killathon. Seriously, how the f*ck can you pass that up? ISLAND was directed by first-timer, Tyler Hickman, and apparently stars “the unluckiest victims this side of the Caribbean.” If any more info rises to the surface, I’ll be sure and let you know.
