Ari Aster, new movie, Nathan Lane, Patti LuPone, Amy Ryan,

After the success of Hereditary and Midsommar, Ari Aster has proven himself to be one to watch. Expectations are high for the director's next project, and Deadline has the latest news on the cast for the upcoming film.

It was announced earlier this year that Ari Aster's Disappointment Blvd. would star Joaquin Phoenix, and Deadline now reports that he'll be joined by Nathan Lane, Patti LuPone, Amy Ryan, and Kylie Rogers. Plot details for the film are being kept under wraps, but Aster will write and direct what has been described as "an intimate, decades-spanning portrait of one of the most successful entrepreneurs of all time." It's certainly not much to go on, but given what Aster has already delivered, I'm ready for whatever he has to offer.

Nathan Lane recently starred in Showtime's Penny Dreadful: City of Angels, while Patti LuPone appeared in Ryan Murphy's Netflix series Hollywood. Amy Ryan will next be seen starring alongside Steve Martin, Selena Gomez, and Martin Short in Hulu's upcoming series Only Murders in the Building (which also happens to feature Nathan Lane), and Rogers recently starred in Apple TV's Home Before Dark.
