Army of the Dead VR experience lets you battle the undead

Army of the Dead VR experience announced

Be honest: How long do you think you would last during a zombie apocalypse? What if I told you that there’s a way to find out? Netflix has launched a new virtual reality experience based on Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead, and I’ve heard that only the smart are likely to survive.

The immersive VR tour, titled Viva Las Vengeance, debuted in July, but now things are heating up for the Halloween season. This means that tickets are bound to start selling quickly, so get crackin’.

The 30-minute experience begins in one of several Sin City Taco Trucks, where passengers (up to six can participate) will be briefed by none other than crew member María Cruz, as played by Ana de la Reguera in the film. After making their way through a hole in the wall, passengers are instructed to put on VR headsets, arm themselves to the teeth, then get ready for an all-out bloodbath with plenty of zombies to lay to waste.

Per the experience’s official website, here’s a description of Viva Las Vengeance:

It’s our last stand against the undead! Our fellow citizens are trapped inside the walls of zombie-infested Las Vegas, and Las Vengeance is the only crew that is brave enough to try to get them out. As you might imagine, we’re going to need some extra hands if we want a fighting chance at succeeding.

The plan: Get in. Rescue the survivors. Get out. No promises on that last part.

Our tactical taco truck is perfect for the job, so you and your squad will have the honor and privilege of putting it to good use. Just make sure you keep it in one piece, or you’ll be sitting ducks to those hungry Shamblers waiting outside.

Tickets are on sale now and will be available through October for $24 apiece.

The Viva Las Vengeance tour is currently trucking its way through major cities across the United States, including New York, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Washington D.C., and London. More cities are set to be announced in the coming months. Be sure to keep an eye on the event’s official website for details.
