Aronofsky’s Towers

Darren Aronofsky – he of the overrated movies – is developing a t.v. show for AMC (that’s American Movie Classics, right?) called RIVERVIEW TOWERS. The series revolves around a family that moves into an apartment building with paranormal activity.

Aronofsky isn’t a stranger to horror, having previously co-written the submarine-set thriller BELOW. Of course he’s best known for flicks like REQUIEM FOR A DREAM and THE FOUNTAIN. It only seems like he’s executive producing RIVERVIEW TOWERS, from a screenplay by John J. McLaughlin.

Currently, Aronfsky’s working on THE WRESTLER, with Micky Rourke, and then moves on to the psychological thriller BLACK SWAN, which is set in the deadly world of ballet! (Hey, if SUSPIRIA can do it…)
