Here’s a cool little dealio that combines our homeboy with a chainsaw Ash, and horror legend H.P. Lovecraft with the wonderful world of comic books! Dynamite Entertainment has decided to launch a full blown series of ARMY OF DARKNESS vs. RE-ANIMATOR!
‘Wow’, and ‘what the f*ck?’ both came to mind when I heard about this… but in a good way! What a cool concept and crossover team-up! Written by James Kuhoric with art by Sanford Greene and Scott Kester, the story goes a little like this:
“[Ash], committed to Arkham Asylum. It’s here that he runs afoul of a rather ghoulish and creepy Herbert West… and the battle of the century begins!
[West] then discovers a serum that can be injected into the brain of the recently deceased that brings them back to life. But these revived people are no longer our friends, relatives or loved ones. They’re adrenaline-driven zombies! Even more unfortunate is the fact that West runs into Ash, The Chosen One, who has a well-earned disdain for the undead!”
