Ashton as Ash?

Here’s one for the bullshit-radar: We got a heads up from a reader over the weekend that Bruce Campbell has been dropping hints in recent interviews on who will play Ash in the upcoming EVIL DEAD remake. And what he’s been saying will pretty much blow your mind…

Apparently Campbell said that he would want Ashton ‘I’m porkin’ Demi Moore’ Kutcher to play Ash, and in fact… he’s already signed the deal! What!? He then added that wouldn’t most people want to see Kutcher raped by a tree…?

Whoa…. Ok, kind of crazy… but not really. I mean, Kutcher has the strong jaw like Campbell, but more importantly, the guy can be serious and funny (ever see THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT?).

But really, at this point, it’s all heresay, nothings official yet, so we can’t really get all pissy, or jump for joy if this is true or not because we just don’t know. Personally, remaking THE EVIL DEAD is a dumb idea, but if it’s gonna happen, I wouldn’t mind seeing Kutcher being raped by a tree either….
