Well folks the HUNGER GAMES tributes just keep on rolling in! It seems every other day we’re getting word on two new names joining the project as ‘tributes.’ Jake ended last week with the news that Chris Mark and Jacqueline Emerson had signed on to star in the film as ‘District 5 Tributes.’
Now you should be able to guess what today’s HUNGER GAMES update holds. That’s right folks! According to The Hollywood Reporter’s Heat Vision blog the newest ‘tribtues’ to join the film are Ashton Moio and Kara Peterse. They’ll be ‘tributing up’ District 6. Following along with the rest of the ‘tribtues’ cast the two newcomers are relative unknowns but we’ll roll with it anyway.
THE HUNGER GAMES is set in the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by twelve outlying districts. Each year, the districts are forced by the Capitol to send one boy and one girl between the ages of twelve and eighteen to participate in the Hunger Games, a brutal and terrifying fight to the death – televised for all of Panem to see.
Apparently there’s still five other Districts to be cast in the film so I’d assume this is far from the last of our ‘District Tribute’ news. Oh joy. Mark and Emerson join the previously announced Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Elizabeth Banks, Paula Malcolmson, Willow Shields, Amandla Stenberg, Dayo Okeniyi, Leven Rambin, Jack Quaid, Ian Nelson, Kalia Prescott, Ethan Jamieson, Tara Macken, Chris Mark and Jacqueline Emerson.
THE HUNGER GAMES is set to hit theaters next year on March 23rd so there’s plenty more updates on the film that’ll be heading our way. Let’s hope this thing doesn’t burn itself out by the end of the year.
