Avatar BTS video

With less than 2 months away from lighting up screens across the globe (Dec. 18), the wily marketing team behind James Cameron’s epic flick AVATAR is putting their skill into overdrive. Yesterday we saw a fresh international trailer, today an official one. Well, chalk another one up – as we now have a cool little behind-the-scenes video to share with you all.

Although the picture quality isn’t as stellar as no doubt the actual flick will be, catch a glimpse at stars like Sigourey Weaver, Sam Worthington, Michelle Rodriguez, Joel David Moore (who some may recall in a hilarious turn in the film GRANDMA’S BOY), as well as Cameron himself – as they all talk about the wonders of the project, how it came about, how long it’s taken for technology to catch up to the script, and other cool shit of that nature.

What’s interesting to see in the trailer, is how the lead character’s DNA is seemingly recombined with that of a Na’vi (Pandora native) and how it reminded me of the same kind of transformation Wikus Van De Merwe underwent in Neill Blompamp’s DISTRICT 9. Of course, the reasons for both differ drastically.

Check out the cool BTS footage below!
