In this video, introduced by producer Jon Landau, are the Colonel Miles Quaritch RDA Promos – videos that were shot with actor Stephen Lang during the production of Avatar back in 2009, but never released. Until now.

Written and directed by Cameron (who also produced alongside Landau), Avatar tells the following story: On the lush alien world of Pandora live the Na’vi, beings who appear primitive but are highly evolved. Because the planet’s environment is poisonous, human/Na’vi hybrids, called Avatars, must link to human minds to allow for free movement on Pandora. Jake Sully, a paralyzed former Marine, becomes mobile again through one such Avatar and falls in love with a Na’vi woman. As a bond with her grows, he is drawn into a battle for the survival of her world.

Lang is joined in the cast by Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaña, Michelle Rodriguez, Giovanni Ribisi, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Wes Studi, Laz Alonso, Sigourney Weaver, Dileep Rao, and Matt Gerald.

The AbyssAliens, and True Lies are available now in 4K Ultra UHD for the first time ever at digital retailers and will be available on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray disc March 12, 2024. Avatar and Avatar: The Way of Water Collector’s Editions are also available now at digital retailers, and will be available on Blu-ray December 19th.
