is rockin’ some interesting news this morning, and while I haven’t had the pleasure of reading the book, I’m sure it’s news that lots of ya’ll out there will be a bit excited for. No, not another movie, but an adaptation of the Italian best seller I KILL, by Giorgio Faletti.

Jon Avnet, whose directing skills were seen in RED CORNER, is set to direct this badboy, and is also hard at work on the script. I KILL is set in Monte-Carlo, and tells the story about a killer who always calls a radio DJ to request a song that’s in theme with the murder he’s about to commit. Yep, it’s a serial killer who likes his rock-n-roll – and there ain’t nothin’ wrong with that!

Produced by Aurelio De Laurentiis and son Luigi De Laurentiis Jr. (nephews of the great Dino De Laurentiis), filming is set to start early next year on the Cote d’Azur. Let’s hope they adapt the novel so all of us English readers can read what all the fuss is about before the movie hits. Because, as you know, books are always better than the movie… Stick around for more news and updates on I KILL as we hear them!
