Bad Boys for Life casts Jacob Scipio as villain, Paola Nuñez to co-star

The next chapter of the BAD BOYS franchise, BAD BOYS FOR LIFE, just got a whole lot better thanks to the casting of British-born Guyanese actor Jacob Scipio as the film's villain. Deadline exclusively revealed Scipio's casting earlier today, alongside the news that Mexican actress Paola Nuñez has landed a significant co-starring role in the highly-anticipated action sequel starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence.

Recently, plot details surrounding the film have come to light, with reports that the long-gestating sequel will find Miami PD's finest making an attempt to bring Armando Armas (Scipio), the head of a ruthless drug cartel, to justice. Word has it that Armas is a real bad dude, who uses his cunning and vicious tactics to strike fear into those who oppose him.

With regard to Nuñez, it's been said that she will board the film as Rite, a tough and funny criminal psychologist who is the newly appointed head of AMMO and Mike’s former girlfriend- and the one who got away. (via Deadline).

The arrival of Scipio and Nuñez for BAD BOYS FOR LIFE comes hot on the heels of Alexander Ludwig, Vanessa Hudgens, and Charles Melton joining the action vehicle, which is set to be helmed by BLACK and PASTER directing duo Adil El Arbi and Bilal Fallah. With a script penned by Chris Bremner (THE WEDDING RINGER) and Joe Carnahan (THE A-TEAM, THE GREY), BAD BOYS FOR LIFE is shooting for a January 17, 2020 release.
