Writer/Director Jimmy Hemphill hit us up with news that his film, BAD REPUTATION, won the Best of the Fest Audience Award at the Fright Night Film Fest over the Labor Day weekend. The film previously won awards at the Delray Beach Film Festival, the Chicago Horror Film Festival and the Eerie Horror Film Festival, so it’s no wonder that the film will have a screening at this year’s Shriekfest!

The film will be showing at 4pm on Saturday, September 23rd at Raleigh Studios, and will be a “brand new and vastly improved version of the film”. Whether this is a new transfer or newly added scenes, I don’t know. You’ll just have to see it for yourself.

Starring Angelique Hennessy, the story centres on a high school girl wrongly branded as the school slut. The girl embraces her ‘bad reputation’ and takes revenge on the kids who have made her life a living hell. Check out the film’s official site (complete with trailer) here.
