The Blumhouse production RUN SWEETHEART RUN is now filming in Los Angeles with director Shana Feste at the helm, and to mark the occasion Deadline has revealed the names of several cast members.

Ella Balinska, who plays one of CHARLIE'S ANGELS in the upcoming reboot of that franchise, has the lead in RUN SWEETHEART RUN (that's her pictured above, in a show called The Athena). She's joined in the cast by Pilou Asbaek, Aml Ameen, Dayo Okeniyi, Betsy Brandt, Shohreh Aghdashloo, and Clark Gregg.

The film, which Feste also wrote, is described as a "feminist horror-thriller". It's the second Blumhouse horror project to have a female director and will be the first to get a theatrical release. They previously worked with director Sophia Takal on the Into the Dark feature NEW YEAR, NEW YOU, which was released through Hulu.

RUN SWEETHEART RUN shows what happens when

a blind date turns violent and the woman has to get home on foot through Los Angeles as she’s pursued by her date.

Which sounds like a perfectly simple thriller story to me.

Feste is producing RUN SWEETHEART RUN for Quiet Girl Productions, alongside Blumhouse's Jason Blum and Automatik's Brian Kavanaugh-Jones. Jennifer Besser, Couper Samuelson, Bea Sequeira, and Jeanette Volturno serve as executive producers.
