Not too long ago, Robert Rodriguez permanently grounded a BARBARELLA remake citing Universal’s decision to shoot in Germany the primary reason he wouldn’t be moving forward with the film. Dino De Laurentiis’ production company, however, who owns the rights to the original film, isn’t wasting any time finding a replacement. According to “Hollywood Insider”, he’s currently in talks with LEGALLY BLONDE and MONSTER-IN-LAW director Robert Luketic to bring back the space vixen and her delightfully explicit adventures. With this development, it’s safe to assume that Rose McGowan, who Rodriguez had chosen to wear the loose fitting space garments, will be replaced. With who? That’s up for grabs at the moment but feel free to strike back some candidates below.
