Batman to have a love interest in Zack Snyder’s Batman/Superman film

Looks like Batman will find some time for romance in the BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN film. According to Latino Review, the folks at WB are currently sending out the drones to locate an actress that can go tête-à-tête with Bruce Wayne/Batman (Ben Affleck) in the follow up to MAN OF STEEL. Accordingly, they are looking for someone who is “tall and possesses physicality.”

“They’re looking for someone in their late 20s and are open to all ethnicities. So not only does the 42 year old Goddamn Batman like em at least a decade younger, but playboy Bruce Wayne doesn’t discriminate either.”

So, it’s not surprising at all that Bruce Wayne would have a younger love interest as that’s a common thing, but what has the potential to be surprising is just which character she’ll be. In the previous Batfilms the most interesting love interests came from Tim Burton‘s films (Kim Basinger‘s Vicki Vale and Michelle Pfeiffer‘s Catwoman to be exact). The Schumacher films were flavor-of-the-week actresses (even if one of them was Nicole Kidman) and Nolan’s films hopped around a bit with Katie Holmes and Maggie Gyllenhaal playing the same character and Anne Hathaway sweeping in to finish the trilogy. Still, I never felt we got to know the female interests in Nolan’s films as well as Burton’s, so it will be interesting to see where they go with his next onscreen evolution.

What do you think? Who are your choices (both character and actress)?

BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN is set to hit on July 17, 2015.
