Bay doubles up

JoBloJoBlo

It gives me great pleasure to say that this might be my very last TRANSFORMERS related article…for a week, until talk of the sequel begins. I haven’t seen the movie yet, but you can be sure that when I do (this Thursday) I’ll be sneaking a quartet of tall cans into the theater and tying on a sweet little buzz. Point of the story is, the folks over at /Film.com have done a little detective work and uncovered that Michael Bay has apparently reused footage from PEARL HARBOR for TRANSFORMERS. The top still is taken from a hi-res TRANSFORMERS trailer, and the bottom still from a print of PEARL HARBOR. Other than the colours and saturation you can see some fighter jets were added in the top picture, you know, to modernize it. No problem with this, though. It’s Bay’s footage and it’s reasons like this that the movie only cost $150 million, compared to double that for AT WORLD’S END.
