It kind of seems like this has come out of nowhere, but the next big name in horror could very likely be… Michael Bay. Yes, the king of entertaining blockbuster hits seems to have his moneygrubbin’ hands all over horror these days, including the upcoming MOLLY’S WORLD.
Variety reports that Bay’s next producing gig is WORLD, written by Marshall Steven (THIRTEEN GHOSTS) for New Line, being the story of a psychiatrist who gets sucked into the deluded world of a crazy patient (Molly). She’s locked up for slaughtering her family so they wouldn’t be killed by some supernatural force. Yeah, this bitch if frickin’ crazy!
Now, the story sounds kinda cool, but the fact that the same a-hole wrote THIRTEEN GHOSTS, I’m somewhat skyptical how this one’s gonna turn out. Then again, Bay is all about horror (remakes) these days, with TCM, this years AMITYVILLE HORROR, and his plans for THE HITCHER. More about MOLLY when we hear more!
