Back when MEGA SHARK VS. GIANT OCTOPUS premiered, I was joking that they should do a sequel titled SHARKTOPUS. Apparently my brain works very similar to that of a Syfy executive because SHARKTOPUS is exactly the name of a movie they’re producing. It’s not a sequel to MEGA VS. GIANT but instead a standalone tale of some mutant shark/octopus hybrid and how it wreaks havoc on a bikini-clad beach. And Eric Roberts is the only man who can stop it.
Now we finally have our first look at the trailer for SHARKTOPUS. Youll get your first look at the horrible CGI used by producer Roger Corman, excuse me, Academy Award winner Roger Corman, to bring Sharkto to life. I’d like to think it’ll be a lot of fun but that’s what I thought about the last shark/octopus movie I saw and I was sorely disappointed. But take a look at the trailer below and see what you think.
