Kenneth Branagh, Bee Gees

How deep is your love for the Bee Gees? Because the iconic musical group is set to receive a biopic movie from Paramount Pictures that's slated to be helmed by Kenneth Branagh.

Musical biopics such as Rocket Man and Bohemian Rhapsody have enjoyed great success in recent years, and in fact, the rights to the Bee Gees movie were acquired by Bohemian Rhapsody producer Graham King back in 2019. Barry Gibb, the sole surviving member of the original group, is also onboard as an executive producer and is said to be very involved in the development of the film. Ben Elton, who penned Kenneth Branagh's All Is True, is writing the current draft of the script.

Kenneth Branagh will next be seen reprising his role of Belgian sleuth Hercule Poirot in Death on the Nile, which he also directed. The mystery film takes place aboard a glamorous river steamer during an Egyptian vacation that turns into a terrifying search for a murderer when a picture-perfect couple's idyllic honeymoon is tragically cut short. In addition to Branagh, Death on the Nile also stars Armie Hammer, Gal Gadot, Annette Bening, Tom Bateman, Russell Brand, Dawn French, Jennifer Saunders, Letitia Wright, Ali Fazal, Rose Leslie, Emma Mackey, and Sophie Okonedo. The film has been delayed several times due to COVID-19, but is currently slated to hit theaters on September 17, 2021.
