With less than a month to go before it hits theaters, JOHN CARTER is pushing hard to show what it’s got. Below you’ll find a new featurette that has interviews with stars Taylor Kitsch, Lynn Collins, Willem Dafoe, and director Andrew Stanton (WALL*E), plus a nice batch of new footage and sequences.

Check it out:

It’s no secret that I’m looking forward to this and I know a lot of others are as well. However, there is another side of the fence that is vehemently against it, citing issues with casting, CGI, etc. Then, there’s the naysayers predicting an apocalyptic flop that will bankrupt Disney and see the world turned back to the stone age, a la Snake Plisskin-style.

At the very least, they’re predicting WATERWORLD, which actually turned a healthy profit all said and done. As long as the movie is good, JOHN CARTER has a fighting chance, as word of mouth is the strongest marketing tool in the world.

From filmmaker Andrew Stanton, JOHN CARTER OF MARS brings this captivating hero to the big screen in a stunning adventure epic set on the wounded planet of Mars, a world inhabited by warrior tribes and exotic desert beings. Based on the first of Edgar Rice Burroughs’ “Barsoom Series”, the film chronicles the journey of Civil-War veteran John Carter (Taylor Kitsch), who finds himself battling a new and mysterious war amidst a host of strange Martian inhabitants, including Tars Tarkas (Willem Dafoe) and Dejah Thoris (Lynn Collins).

JOHN CARTER’s fate will be revealed on March 9, 2012.
