What else would you expect the next film by Simon West would be? I mean, he helmed the TOMB RAIDER movies, and he entertained us earlier on with CON AIR. But a remake of WHEN A STRANGER CALLS BACK….?

Yes, the remake train is rollin’ along strong, and now STRANGER is up to be remade by Screen Gems, with West directing.

Camilla Belle has been cast as the lead, as a babysitter who is terrorized by an unknown caller, only to find the caller is calling from within the house.

In the time of cell phones, and the aftermath of SCREAM, I don’t know how well this will play today, but I’m sure West will add an action sequence or two just spice it up a bit.

Filming is set to begin in July.
