Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck (IT'S KIND OF A FUNNY STORY), MISSISSIPPI GRIND tells the story of Gerry (Ben Mendelsohn), who's down on his luck and facing financial hardship. He teams up with a younger, more charismatic poker player, Curtis (Ryan Reynolds), in an attempt to change that. The two set off on a road trip through the South with visions of winning back what's been lost. If this is the first time you're hearing about this flick, then you're not alone! We were able to review this one back in January at Sundance (read it here) and if anything, it's definitely a movie that needs to stay on your radar. Ryan Reynolds just broke the poster on his Facebook, of which you can read up on the announcement below.

Could not be happier with this incredible film. Here's the first official poster for MISSISSIPPI GRIND. In theaters…

Ben Mendelsohn is a name you've probably seen tossed around lately, whether it be Netflix's Bloodline, SLOW WEST, or Gareth Edwards' upcoming STAR WARS: ROGUE ONE. He's been relegated to playing bit parts in films, but it looks like the man's finally getting his due! It's hard to think of Reynolds in anything else aside from DEADPOOL lately, so hopefully we'll get a trailer to chew on sometime soon!

MISSISSIPPI GRIND will be released on September 25, 2015.
