Obviously, KILL LIST is something to be seen. After generating considerable buzz in the aftermath of its SXSW premiere, the Ben Wheatley thriller was promptly snatched up by IFC Midnight for US distribution. Now it has found a distributor in its native land.

Optimum Releasing has picked up UK rights to KILL LIST, according to Variety. No release date has been announced yet. Intriguingly enough, Optimum passed on the project when it was still in the script stage. At least now they have a chance to rectify that error.

The plot:
Beginning eight months after a disastrous job in Kiev left him physically and mentally scarred, ex-soldier turned contract killer Jay is pressured by his partner, Gal, into taking a tough new assignment. As they descend into the dark, disturbing world of the contract, Jay begins to unravel once again – his fear and paranoia sending him deep into the heart of darkness.

The film stars Neil Maskell, Michael Smiley and MyAnna Buring (pictured below in LESBIAN VAMPIRE KILLERS). Wheatley co-wrote the film with his wife Amy Jump.

As soon as we know more about KILL LIST‘s release plan, we’ll pass it along.
