A projectionist who has seen one too many movies goes cuckoo in THE LAST SHOWING, a UK horror flick which goes into production soon and will be a presence at the upcoming Cannes Film Festival.

Produced, written and directed by Phil Hawkins, THE LAST SHOWING…

… centers on a recently demoted projectionist who traps a young couple inside a cinema with plans to use the CCTV cameras to create his own horror film.

Those are the only details we have so far, but the movie goes into production in the summer, so we should be getting more in the near future.

The Philm Company raised the finances for the flick and is currently in discussions with sales agents in the UK and US; they’ll be taking the project to Cannes.
