A Croatian reader gave me the heads up on this one! Released
on June 9 2005, the 362 paged novel BLACKOUT sounds like a genre fans’ “all
dressed deluxe pizza”.
Written by Mislav
Pasini (of HOLLYWOOD magazine), the book tells this warped tale:
FBI agent Michael Sinner has the ability to see into the minds of serial
killers and he gets more than he bargained for when he’s sent to the US town of
West Moon Valley to stop a murder spree.
Once there he enters in a deadly
game of cat and mouse with a Serial Killer who not only inspires his gruesome
actions on horror movies but who also winds up being more than human.
It’s said that the book was largely inspired by Manhunter,
Michael Myers, Leatherface,
Hannibal Lecter and the Frankenstein monster. How’s that for a mix? BLACKOUT is
