Blood Feast remake gets a new official poster

It was just yesterday that we shared with you guys the news that the remake of BLOOD FEAST was getting a theatrical release this summer in the top 40 markets. And now today we have the flick's new poster to share!

The poster looks pretty damn cool. I'm digging the dude with the Egyptian headdress and the slick-looking suit and tie. That's a cool mixture of scary and dressed to kill. Add in hottie Sophia Monk, A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 2: FREDDY'S REVENGE actor Robert Rusler and TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE 2's Caroline Williams, and it looks like we may have a worthy remake here, folks.

BLOOD FEAST synopsis:

Fuad Ramses (Rusler) and his family have moved from the United States to France, where they run an American diner. Since business is not going too well, Fuad also works night shifts in a museum of ancient Egyptian culture. During these long, lonely nights he is repeatedly drawn to a statue representing the seductive ancient goddess Ishtar (Katz). He becomes more and more allured by the goddess as she speaks to him in visions. Eventually, he succumbs to her deadly charms.

After this pivotal night, Fuad begins a new life, in which murder and cannibalism become his daily bread. He starts to prepare a ritual feast to honor his new mistress, a lavish affair dripping with blood, organs, and intestines of human victims. As butchered bodies are heaped upon the Altar of Ishtar, Fuad slowly slips further into madness until he is no more than the goddess’ puppet; and she thirsts for the blood of Fuad’s wife and daughter too…

The BLOOD FEAST remake was directed by Marcel Walz and stars Robert Rusler, Caroline Williams, Sadie Katz, and Sophie Monk (see below).

A home video release for the film may hit us this October, with VOD set for December. We'll keep you guys up to date on when those dates become official and/or change.

That said, BLOOD FEAST hits theaters June 23rd.
