Blood gets US release

JoBloJoBlo

Seems like we first heard about BLOOD: THE LAST VAMPIRE quite a long time ago, and while the movie is hitting screens throughout Asia, Europe and the UK in May and June, there wasn’t much mention of a US release.

Sony has stepped in to handle that, and will put the flick in domestic theaters later this summer. Adapted from a popular anime, the movie comes from director Chris Nahon (KISS OF THE DRAGON) and action choreographer Corey Yuen (TRANSPORTER, SO CLOSE), and stars South Korean actress Gianna (aka Jeon Ji-hyun of MY SASSY GIRL) as an ancient sword-wielding teen hunting supernatural creatures. The cast also includes Koyuki (THE LAST SAMURAI), Allison Miller (17 AGAIN), Liam Cunningham (DOG SOLDIERS) and Colin Salmon (RESIDENT EVIL).

Check out the new trailer below (although I prefer the bloodier, more actiony UK version further down).
